Shaking Things Up

I’m in a rut… No, I don’t mean all the fish paintings. I mean I’m just in a rut. How I've been working, and the kind of painting I do… 

Painting every day—or at least as often as I can—is great. But it’s also easy to get into a pattern that way and lose the feel of spontaneity (not my strong suit anyway…)

So for the next few weeks, I’m going to try to shake things up a little. Change the way I work, and maybe even my style of painting. 

I’m not sure exactly what that means just yet… And it may take some false starts and a little re-wiring in my head. I have some pretty deeply entrenched habits.

But now that I’ve posted this, I need to follow through, yeah? So you get to tag along on my little adventure.
