Grin and Bear It

With all the snow here last week, I managed to strain my lower back doing snow removal and I’ve been moving a bit slow as result.

But I still managed to get into the studio a number of days and started a few new paintings. The theme was fish… lots of fish. I don’t know what it is about these subjects that appeals to me so much. I guess—apart from the great color and patterns—I sort of like the challenge of making art from something as grotesque as dead fish.
