Finishing Touches

I worked on three paintings today. The Fresh Fish No.3 painting I started yesterday, and two others that I had started last week— Swallowtail No.2, and Kestrel No.2.

Both Fresh Fish No.3, and Swallowtail No.2 are now complete and will be available for sale later this week. There’s still a bit more work to be done on Kestrel No.2, but I hope to finish that one tomorrow… right after I clear the remaining snow from the den driveway.

I got into a sloppy habit last year of starting a number of paintings and then moving on to new ones, allowing the older ones to gather dust. I’m gonna do my best to keep everything as current as I can this year… at least to complete new work within the week.

The impulse to start new sometimes overwhelms my interest in things I haven’t touched for a few days or weeks. So we’ll see how I do.
