Under the Knife...
Today's painting is of a Kestrel, from a photo by by Aschi on PaintMyPhoto.com. This is a 10" x 10" panel, so it’s taking a little longer to build it up. And part way through, I decided to start working with a painting knife. So the paint is quite thick, making it a little harder to work with.
I really love the look of the knife work though. It's certainly a bit easier on a larger panel, too!
I may pick this up again tomorrow or, more likely, move to something else to allow the paint to dry a bit and keep the colors clean.
